Grant Proposal Incubator Supports Resilient Great Bay Communities

As the impact of extreme weather events continues to reshape New Hampshire’s coastal communities, building resilience is more important than ever. That’s where Project Builder comes in. Project Builder is part of the Adapting Together initiative led by the Piscataqua Region Estuaries Partnership (PREP).
New Hampshire Sea Grant (NHSG) is proud to serve as a key partner in Project Builder, which acts as a grant proposal incubator for communities and organizations in the Great Bay watershed. The goal of Project Builder is to help local leaders transform big ideas into fundable, actionable projects through a mix of mentorship, strategy-building, and creative problem-solving.
In short, if you have a project idea that addresses flooding or extreme heat in the Great Bay Watershed but need to build connections and find funding to turn your idea into reality, Project Builder is for you.
NHSG staff support this work by facilitating partnerships, offering technical expertise, and helping translate science into action. Whether it’s navigating grant applications or connecting communities with subject-matter experts, Sea Grant’s role is to make sure good ideas don’t get stuck on the drawing board.
Through collaboration, capacity-building, and a shared vision for a more resilient future, Project Builder is helping communities adapt—together.
