NOAA’s National Sea Grant Office is currently soliciting proposals for several funding opportunities. American Lobster Research Program
As part of the American Lobster Initiative, Sea Grant’s American Lobster Research Program supports research to address critical gaps in knowledge about how the American lobster and its fishery are being impacted by environmental change. Research should focus on the Gulf of Maine, Georges Banks, and/or southern New England. Five to ten projects will be funded, totaling $1-2 million, with a maximum duration of two years.

Addressing Economic and Market Needs of the U.S. Aquaculture Industry
The National Sea Grant Office anticipates approximately $5 million will be available for research projects and programs that will significantly advance the understanding of the economics of aquaculture businesses in the U.S. and address gaps regarding important market information.
For this competition, a Notice of Intent to Submit was due February 26, 2020 by 5:00 p.m. Eastern. For those of you who submitted this Notice, the deadline for the full proposal has been extended. Proposal deadline extended to July 14, 2020. (formerly April 22, 2020)
